“Tell us about yourself.” Is a question that appears too many times. Identity is supposedly an important thing in a human’s life. But I wonder if it is that important. I know very well that more people than imagined lied during their self-introduction. Some say we are born with an identity; that is false. I was given one. At birth, you are a nobody. Without them, you won’t have one. It is a sad truth, but it is something that you grow as well.

Arukaron is a variation of the word Archaron, while Archaron itself is a mix between Ark and Charon. Ark is defined as a large ship used by Noah in the Bible to save his family and animals from the flood. (Noah’s Ark; Genesis 6:9 ). Charon is a psychopomp and the ferrymen of Hades who carries souls of the deceased across the river Styx and Acheron in the underworld. (Greek and Roman mythology). Her Surname ‘Koh’ is made up, though also based on the Korean Surname ‘Go’ or ‘Ko’.

⎼⎼ 178 cm, 65 kg; She has a tall and masculine build, but toned and healthy. One thing to note is that she was raised like a male due to her village’s condition. With her job as a sea-hunter, Charon receives a permanent face paint (tattoo) on her cheeks and under her eyebrows. It is her village’s tradition, and most male villagers have it.
⎼⎼ Female (she/her/they/them); While looking masculine and sometimes acts like a boy, Charon sees herself as a woman. Any pronouns are okay, as she doesn’t mind any.
⎼⎼ Human; Charon is completely human with almost zero technological change in her body. As she is a Voda clan member, she has gills on her neck and ribs, though the latter are usually covered. Natural body changes include her lungs being flexible and a notable larger spleen.

A very small village consisting up to 10 houses, with majority of the villagers being elderies and children, with the exception of Charon. Through a messenger, they were able to withstand the rapidly growing technology of the main city, and created their own.
⎼⎼ Sea hunter / Kynikhos; A role of a protector given from generation to generation. Their main job is to protect the village from monstrum, beasts, and other threats. Sea hunters are usually male, with the exception of Charon herself.
